May 16-18 for Grade 3-5 - PARCC English Language Arts
May 21 & 22 for Grades 3-5 - PARCC Mathematics

Please know that all testing will take place in the mornings. We are asking for your support to avoid scheduling appointments for their child during this time that would result in absences and testing make-ups. As is the case everyday, it is extremely important for your child to arrive to school on time - (no later than 8:35am). Lots of rest and a healthy breakfast are always recommended!
Thank you for your assistance!

Veteran's Day Celebration

Stony Brook Elementary Community,

Veteran’s Day was created so that we can say “Thank You” to all of the men and women who have bravely served in a United States Military Branch and for giving so much of their lives for our country.

On Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 9:00 am., Stony Brook will be conducting a School Wide meeting in recognition of any veteran who has a connection to a member of our school community. Be it a parent, sibling, or friend – if there is a Stony Brook connection, we would like to have the chance to share our appreciation for the effort of “your veteran”. As part of the program, we are hoping that our honored guests would be willing to share a bit about their service: (Name/ rank/ branch of service/ dates served/ and what it meant to serve your country)

For planning purposes, please respond by completing the following questions. Please feel free to send in a response even if your veteran is not able to attend. All information must be submitted by Friday, October 27.
